Historic Earthquake Devastates Morocco
LCIF grant funding will empower Lions to help earthquake victims recover.

LIONSCLUBS.ORG/DONATE

On September 8, 2023, a powerful earthquake struck Morocco, killing at least 2,000 people and injuring over 2,000 more. The 6.8 magnitude quake is the largest to hit the country in more than 100 years, and the deadliest to hit the North African country in decades.

Lions in the region are already poised to help and Lions Clubs International Foundation is mobilizing funds, including a US$100,000 Major Catastrophe grant and a US$10,000 Emergency grant, to empower them as they help their communities recover.
